Residents and businesses in Chesham can now have their waste handled by Hawes Recycling
In 1980 Hawes made our entry into the waste removal and management business for the south of England so we’ve been providing that service now for over 30 years – which is quite an achievement. In that time we’ve grown from being a single vehicle skip hire business to having more than 14 skip lorries in our fleet and well over 1,000 skips available for hire. Our success in skip hire meant that it was only a matter of time before we opened our own custom-designed recycling plant and in July 2011 that idea became a reality when Hawes Recycling officially went live.
Our recycling plant and our licence means that we can process up to 50,000 tonnes of material each year and our goal is to ensure that more than 80% of that material/waste winds up being recycled and not dumped into a landfill somewhere. We also provide a recycling service for other waste management companies not fortunate enough to operate their own recycling centre.

You don’t need to worry about the waste getting to us because we, quite proudly, also operate our own skip hire service in the form of Hawes Skip Hire. You can hire the following types of skips there:
- 3yd, 6yd, 10yd, 12yd and 40yd skips
- 12yd,18yd,30yd and 40yd roll on – roll off bins
- Tipper hire
