Hawes Recycling is part of the Hawes Group of Companies and provides waste recycling, waste collection and waste management services.

Hawes was established in 1973 when Roy Hawes brought a Ford D series tipper and started providing haulage services. Roy and Dorothy Hawes expanded with a JCB and a Caterpillar excavator. Roy was hiring himself out to contractors as an owner driver. Hawes then expanded into the plant hire industry, now in 2011 Hawes Plant Hire Ltd is the leading plant and tool hire company in the area.

Hawes entered the waste industry in 1980 when Roy spotted an opportunity in the local area for a reliable skip hire service, Hawes Skip Hire was born when Roy purchased a second hand skip lorry and 10 six yard skips.

In 2004 Hawes Skip Hire became the largest skip hire company in the area following the purchase of their largest local competitor, with 14 skip lorries and over 1000 skips for hire.

In 2009 Roy Hawes decided to continue the growth of the company by locating suitable site for a waste transfer station in High Wycombe. This waste transfer station was to be a huge investment for the Hawes Group with an investment in excess of £2 million.

In March 2011 after almost two years of planning the building works at the site commenced, with the site due to open for business in July 2011.
